1 in every 179 Indian D2C stores on Shopify sells honey: 392 stores, 0.6% of the 70,164 whose catalogues we read. 123 of them (31%) are honey specialists, where honey is the largest product line or at least a quarter of the range. The other 269 sell honey next to something else, most often grocery & staples (60), ayurveda & herbal (19), spices & masalas (17), vitamins & supplements (16).
The 35 specialist brands with measurable branded demand draw 40,028 branded searches a month between them, and the top 10 take 88% of that.

The median price of honey is ₹446 a product, counting each store once and taking the lowest price each product is listed at. Half of stores' median prices sit between ₹328 and ₹614.

Methodology
For this report, we used confirmed live Shopify stores only. We considered that a store counts as "selling honey" if its catalogue lists at least three live honey products, or a honey collection with at least three products.
